Movies on the Block

Movies are shown outdoors every Thursday evening, June to August, at sundown at Grant's Block (260 Westminster Street). Schedule updates can be found on the Movies on the Block's Facebook page.

WaterFire

Held on weekends between April and November, WaterFire celebrates the city with music, concessions and the lighting of eighty bonfires on Providence's three rivers.

Paw Sox 2017 Season

The Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, the Paw Sox call McCoy Stadium (just north of campus in Pawtucket) home. Games are a great way to spend a summer afternoon or evening.

Food Truck Fridays

Every Friday evening from May to September, the Carousel Village at the Roger Williams Park Zoo hosts local food trucks and entertainment.

Providence Flea

Held on Sundays between June and September, the juried Flea is a great place to discover art, vintage fashion and accessories, local crafts, antique and refinished furniture, food trucks, live music and more.


Farm Fresh RI

The state's growing local food system operates programs at 8 summer farmer's markets in Rhode Island. Among them is the popular Hope Street Market which takes place every Saturday morning at Lippitt Park on Providence's East Side.

PVDFest

Providence's signature art festival is a showcase for the city's world-renowned art, culture and culinary communities. Live music, dance, food and visual art installations transform the city in a four-day, multi-arts take-over of public spaces, parks and outdoor stages.

Rhode Island PrideFest

The upcoming 41st annual PrideFest will take place in the heart of downtown Providence along South Water Street. Rhode Island Pride's mission is to create opportunities for integrating and promoting visibility for the LGBTQQ community.

Bristol's Fourth of July celebration

America's oldest fourth of July celebration in Bristol, RI is replete with floats and marching bands—a must-see event if you're in the area for the holiday weekend.

NecronomiCon

NecronomiCon Providence is an exploration and celebration of all the greats of weird fiction, including predecessors and contemporaries of Providence's H.P. Lovecraft.
